Il Galleggiante: An Art Pavilion for Giovanni Bellini | for ICARCH Gallery
A suite of 4 small gallery spaces deriving their architectural parti from the urban context of Venice, with entrance sottopoteghi, a central compluvium, and with specific references to the adjacent monuments of the Scuola Grande di San Marco and the Colleoni Equestrian Statue.
The translucent recycled resin-bonded marble-alabaster gallery units would be manufactured off site, allowing for an additive extendable and relocatable pavilion. Competition 2016, published. Competition process lecture at UCLan under the heading "Sketches, Models, Creative Crises and Coffee", 2016.
